Founded by curator and designer Ugonna Ibe, Yenwa Gallery represents emerging and midcareer artists working across diverse media in Africa and its diaspora, with a special focus on women in photography and new media. Our artists explore themes such as identity, spirituality, culture, and socio-economic challenges.

 

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, Yenwa Gallery opened its doors in April 2023, building a foundation on the principles of community, innovation, and dialogue. Through our participation in the international fair circuit and our ambitious program of exhibitions, collaborations, and educational initiatives, we are dedicated to nurturing the advancement and visibility of our artists.
